Compositions

When I get the chance (which isn’t often) I like to compose different things. Occasionally I use them in teaching, but mainly I compose just for fun.

I’ll put compositions here which I think other teachers might like to use.

Ave Verum Corpus (SSATB)

I was inspired to compose this setting of “Ave Verum Corpus” during a choral festival I recently attended. I always wanted to try setting this particular text.

This composition is dedicated to my dad, who was my very first music teacher (although he doesn’t realize it).

A Little Sonata for Flute Quartet

This is a cute little piece, which flute students may find extra challenging because of the 3# key signature!
